Imaginacion y creatividad – Credit – Platform

El arte es el uso de la habilidad y la imaginación, para crear objetos, experiencias, melodías o entornos con el fin de lograr el placer estético en el observador. Se dice tradicionalmente que el arte alimenta el alma, y quienes realizan esta afirmación no se equivocan. Al ver una obra de arte, uno se siente conmovido por ella, y puede llegar a sentir que se está transportando a otros lugares y tiempos, reales o imaginarios; el arte provoca sobrecogimiento. Se dice que la capacidad de distinguir lo hermoso de lo feo es una habilidad humana innata, pero la verdad es que los valores estéticos cambian de cultura en cultura, y algunos pensadores se han referido a la definición del arte como uno de los problemas más grandes de la filosofía; por lo mismo el arte y su percepción siempre serán subjetivos.

Desde la edad clásica y mucho antes, se viene practicando el arte en sus diversas modalidades y expresiones. Ya los primeros humanos con inteligencia, dibujaban en las cavernas su interpretación de la realidad de manera tanto externa (tal como se presenta a los sentidos) como interna (sus apreciaciones subjetivas de la realidad, usando símbolos y representaciones abstractas); incluso investigaciones modernas afirman que el origen de arte es entópico, esto es, deriva de experiencias subjetivas o internas de los chamanes de la época que volcaron de manera gráfica sus percepciones. Desde esos comienzos, hasta el día de hoy, el arte trata de reflejar, lo que somos y lo que estamos viviendo.

En los comienzos de la historia del arte, es decir a partir de los recuentos escritos en donde está presente el concepto, se entendía por arte a una determinada habilidad, por lo general manual o musical, bien desarrollada en una persona. El concepto luego evoluciona marcadamente en el período romántico, donde se le da una cualidad "metafísica" a la actividad artística, y por lo mismo se complica su definición, dejándola en manos de la filosofía, la religión y la ciencia. Una buena definición contemporánea bastante equilibrada en términos históricos sobre el concepto, podría ser la de un producto de la actividad humana, capaz de estimular los sentidos y la mente, transmitiendo emociones e ideas. De todas maneras el tema es sumamente subjetivo, y da para interminables conclusiones.
